Congratulations on reaching this goal! What's the next thing for your finances?
that's just great. we first maxed 2 of them in 2006. now all that principal is available if we wanted/needed it for any reason, but we'll try and not use it for as long as possible. in case of emergency break glass. do you have a pre-tax option at work like a 401k or 403b also?
Yay! You are really doing an impressive job!Have you ever considered contributing a regular amount once a week? I make an automatic contribution of $115.38 every Friday ($6000/52). Less painful than coming up with the whole thing at once, or in bigger chunks. Plus, this way it can take a little bit of the sting out of market volatility (I sock it away in a Vanguard mutual fund).Just a thought! Whatever way you do it, as long as you do it, is the BEST way!
